Thanks so much, everyone, for coming out to La Pinta on Saturday night. I had sooooo much fun and really appreciate all of the gifts, including shots. I'd say I was a Level 3 drunk (out of 10) and had a minor hangover Sunday morning.

Elvis has left the building!

Yup, Uncle Bob and his faithful hound Fritz returned to their home in Downers Grove today after 2 wonderful weeks with me and my mom. Let's see how long he lasts there. I predict he will be back here by Friday for a hot meal!

Hello everyone. I hope you had a nice start to the week.

I'd like to celebrate my birthday this Saturday night. Are you all available? I was thinking somewhere local, possibly LaGrange, but haven't picked a particular place yet. Around 9 or 10pm?

I know I'm still a young'n but I thought we could have some drinks to celebrate me turning the big 2-4. I hope that works for everyone. It's too bad that Sonja and Dave can't make it!

may i present....The Hackensaw Boys!

Saw these guys last night.. Dave had oodles of fun with $2 PBR. I would definatly check out the web site of buy the cd. There was a lot of foot stompin' fun! If you kind find a picture of the drummer on the site he WEARS a shield like thing on his chest and attached to it are a bunch of different size cans.. very cool and home made. And of coarse ending the lovely night with a local delacacy of Krystal that did not serve any purpose but to add compost to my azzalia and drive Konrad crazy with the hopes of sneaking some. It was a fun night.

Neil wrote me. He was in Florida visiting his lovely friend Jon that we met down there that i said he was creapy... argh insert foot in mouth... Anywho, He is going on tour with Fratellis. DO you guys know them? anyway he said that he probably will make it back to the major states at some point within the year. So i need to get my ass in gear about that job. He also went on a canoe ride through some alligator infested waters with his buddy jon and daughter in FL and his buddy jon steared into a low branch and flipped the canoe.. luckly nobody got hurt but he sent the picture prior to disaster. pending how my conection goes i shall try to post it. Neil said he is also going to Glasgow next week and will see some of our favorite men.. He also mentioned a dude named Pablo? who is that... or is that code for THE major hottie?

I miss all of you!!!!! i do check the blog almost every day.. sorry i dont post but then it becomes a half hour event. not to rub it in but the weather is great here. but i do miss the snow.

Carrie and I went to see Iron and Wine last night at Wheaton College. Although we were surrounded by a variety of strange, slightly dimwitted college students (and apparently boys in vests are back in style?), it was worth it just to hear Sam Beam live. I would recommend checking out Iron and Wine's new album and after you love it get the other one's. Good times! Who will it be carrie, ray or sam?

The last week at my house...

Sorry I haven't made any posts lately, but it is hard (still) for me to type with one hand. The stitches came out of my hand on Thursday. But, I still can't really use it for 2 more weeks. In the meantime I am trying to make my fingers straighten out. Uncle Bob is recovering nicely and he is only a little annoying. He spends his days sleeping off the pain killers and working on puzzles. Later I will post some pictures of his staples. My camera died and I can't upload anymore pictures at the moment. Fritz loves the snow and Dakota is enjoying having someone to nap with. More later...I have to go to my stinking job...

Paczki and Voting, it truly is a super tuesday!

Thanks to the wonderful Polish holiday, Paczki day, John and I were the third and fourth people at our polling place! It was definitely worth getting up at 4am.
