Continuing the food theme

Ive been sick for almost 3 weeks and the only consistent thing I've been eating is popsicles. On the up side, everyone loves popsicles!

Oklahoma

So, I have been doing some research on state foods lately. It all started with an interest in popcorn. But, this morning I was looking at a list of state foods and the state vegetable of Oklahoma is the watermelon. Yup, I said vegetable. I don't get it. I also find this funny because on our way to MN we were debating the difference between fruits and vegetables. I have never heard of the watermelon referred to as a vegetable though. I just thought you would all enjoy this little tidbit of useless knowledge. Have a lovely Tuesday!

Mothers Day, UTI's and Dave's Birthday!

I made it through my first Mother's Day at the new store and although my hands look like I've been scrubbing them with a wire brush, everything went pretty well. Turbo has an infection and is peeing everywhere in pain, poor little man :( and to conclude it all

It is nearly midnight and I am bored. So, I Google Image 'dachshund' because I want to get a dachshund named Jorge. That is another story though. Anyway this picture showed up on the first page of my Google search for 'dachshund'! What the heck? Is this a sign I should take the dog or what? Is this what my future has in store? I hope you all had a good Friday night. This is how mine has gone. Sweet dreams...

Our future home

Mark and I are approved for a new apartment! It is in LaGrange Park, behind Panera, Blockbuster, and the home economist. You know it. They need to get our references and then they'll write a lease! Yay! We move in on June 15th. Anyone need something to do that day?

Maybe since John was gonna deejay the day before on June 14th, we can have an extreme dance party in a near empty apartment (our current place.) Imagine the possibilities! We can invite up the neighborhood for all kinds of brouhaha and dance offs! But not too much drinking, we have work to do on Sunday!

Either way, I'm happy to be your new neighbor! Especially Carrie's, almost literally!
